JERRY'S MEMORIAL SERVICE AND MILITARY HONORS were held November 22, one month after his passing, on a snowy and sunny Colorado day. Family and friends came from all over - Colorado, Tennessee, Delaware, Illinois, California, Florida, Michigan, and Oregon and probably other places. Thank you for that Day. Your support, love and friendship made all the difference.
Thank You "Chaplain Andy" and "Chaplain Myra" for your leadership, love and support throughout; Rocky Mountain Submariner Veterans for the Submariner Tribute; Mile High Church for hosting Jerry's service; Fort Logan National Cemetery for the military honors and American Legion - Post 1 for warmth and pure kindness - community, conversation and great food.
With Gratitude, You're Keepers

CHAPLAIN ANDY AND CHAPLAIN MYRA
OFFICIATING Jerry's memorial and military honors was Chaplain (COL) Andy Meverden, US Army, Retired. A 40-year combat Veteran, Andy met Jerry at the Rocky Mountain Submarine Veterans group monthly meeting where they discussed life's amazing and unexpected blessings and honors. One of those for Andy was serving as the chaplain for the nuclear-powered submarine USS Colorado commissioning ceremony in March of 2018. Another, was meeting Jerry. Chaplain Andy assists his wife, Myra, a USAF Veteran Nurse, who is the Submarine Base volunteer chaplain.
